Inktober 2017

Well, I have an update for you people. And no, do not worry, I am not going to talk about The Perfectly Imperfect Bunch, atleast not now. I am talking about Inktober.

What? You all don’t know what I am talking about. Well, it was the reason I started Sketches by Nitesh two months back. If you still do not believe me, check out the first two posts that I published, “Diary of a Madman” and “Excited about Inktober.”

When I started the blog, I had no confidence in my writing abilities and the idea behind sketches by Nitesh was simple. I wanted to have a little community of artists where we could talk about our art process, our techniques, and our preferred form of art. Somewhere down the line, this blog became something entirely else. More than two hundred posts of rambles and rants later, here we are, my silent friends.

I have this habit of merging many prompts into one place, so this is what I would be doing. I will be merging the daily WordPress prompt, official Inktober prompt and the WordPress weekly photo challenge prompt (As if life isn’t already complicated enough).

Certain sketches that I’ve uploaded on Sketches by Nitesh so far.

So now that you have a little background behind Sketches by Nitesh, here’s a little background into Inktober. Inktober was created by Jake Parker in 2009 as a challenge to improve his inking skills and like almost anything on internet, it became a viral sensation too, well atleast viral among artists. Keeping trends aside, this particular challenge is a great way to improve your drawing skills.

Inktober is about growing and improving and forming positive habits, so the more you are consistent the better – Jake Parker.

So here it goes, 31 days. 31 drawings.

So, this post wasn’t what you were looking for? Well, as always, if you want some sensible writing, check out The Perfectly Imperfect Bunch. Today there is an article there by yours truly as I reflect back on the first week of The Perfectly Imperfect Bunch.

  1. Good luck! I will definitely be following your progress. I am still undecided if I will participate or not. For me its simply a matter of finding the time to create a P&I sketch each day. Whether I participate or not, I will be looking forward to seeing your work!

      1. Oh, I do. But I wanted to know whether you will be available to reply within minutes or hours. 🙂
Now for the comeback, “A long unwinding road, a road through the despair, a road full of broken and scarred hopes, but through those charred wishes if you walk, there is something else waiting for you. Maybe full of life, maybe full of reasons or if you are still inexperienced, then few more broken and charred hopes.”
