Sketches By Nitesh
Pen and Ink Sketches. Poetry. Fiction. Life Musings.
Love almost all of them. Some, like this one, remind me of sitting in Italy or France in a little street cafe’ and just sketching away while enjoying the day. Just taking it all in. Awesome work!
Thanks, Simone. Isn’t that the point of a sketchbook, a visual diary?
I figured that you might use it that way. Very beautiful work. Love the fast sketches where two or three are on the same piece of paper. Like you really wanted to capture what you saw.
Over-technical drawings end up destroying the essence of sketching. In need of perfection, we end up forgetting why we even started to sketch. If that makes some kind of sense.
It’s also your signature, your style. I believe if we create just to do so, and follow the flow, disregarding the outcome or thinking of a possible audience for the finished piece, it always turns out to be more meaningful.
Maybe i wrote in in one of my posts, where i said that my quick sketches give me more pleasure and satisfaction than my finished acrylic or watercolor paintings.
I always liked acrylic, but these days I am not painting much. Did a little abstract the other week just to get my fingers dirty
No better feeling than that, right? We don’t even care whether our clothes will get dirty or not, well, atleast I don’t 🙂
Exactly. I am the same way. I am not good at sketching though, I which I was because there is so much to preserve when being out and about. I guess my camera is my pencil?! 🙂
Mine is too. Don’t worry. Anything which can instigate an emotion is art. Don’t care for stupid definitions.
